Beginner Class schedule: 2017

Class Description:
Clay is very versatile, and can be an fun and interesting medium for all levels of artistry.
During this 4 week course, class-goers will begin with the basics of clay, and will work on a variety of projects and techniques– from hand building to “wheel-throwing” and more.
Students will be bringing home their own hand-made pieces. All pieces made by students will be “high-fired”, using safe glazes that allows the end product to be non-toxic, dishwasher safe, durable and fully functional.

Class Schedule:


Beginners Pottery:(June 6 – June 29) (Tues & Thurs)(7:00pm-9:00pm) –Class Full

Beginners Pottery:(August 1 – August 24) (Tues & Thurs) Morning Class (9:00am-11:00am)- Now Open 

Beginners Pottery:(August 1 – August 24) (Tues & Thurs) Evening Class (7:00pm-9:00pm)- Now Open 



Classes include full use of equipment and facilities, clay and supplies, as well as instruction by an experienced potter.
Our next class open for registration starts in August, and will take place each Tuesday and Thursday  evening in Hemphill Court in Summerville, SC.

Pricing for Group Classes:

4 week course (8 sessions) = $185/person


Private Instruction/ Wheel Throwing

4  2hr/sessions=$150/person

Open Studio PackagesNow available for students who have attended at least one class by Happy Sandman Pottery, or have experience working independently on projects. We now offer packages of 10/ hour long sessions that can be scheduled in 1-4 hour time blocks.

10 hour open studio package= $150

*clay must be purchased separately at the studio
